Below you will find the places I liked in Bolivia:
Santa Cruz
Former villa converted in a hostel: they have a huge backyard andeven a swimming pool
Typical Bolivian food in a nice inner courtyard
Very local restaurant, 2′ away from la JaraHostel
Sucre
Delicious Italian restaurant on the main square: they serve organic food
Tupiza:
The host family is adorable. For breakfast, they even serve fresh squeezed juice and home made pancakes!
Potosi:
Former colonial house, located only one block away from the main square
Amazing submarinos (hotmilk with a chocolate bar) and ideal spot to wacth what is going on on the main square
Samaipata:
Simple but nice atmosphere: inner backyard with lots of shade: ideal to read a book
Cochabamba:
Very comfortable hostel and great location
Delicious Cuban sandwiches and fresh squeezed juices
1′ away from the San Francisco church: the food osigood and you can play pool for free, nice atmosphere
Former convent transformed into a hotel. The managers (currentlyItalian volunteers) work with the local community to develop tourism in the village: a great place to stay!
Copacabana:
Nice hotel managed by an adorable family
Restaurant with no power so you will eat with a candlelight. The wait was quite long (2 hours…), but the trout was worth it
